School Marketing and Communications Officer

Opportunity to use your marketing, PR and communications skills to promote the Maria Montessori School to attract new parents/children to the school and to raise wider awareness of the Montessori approach.

The Maria Montessori Institute (MMI) runs Montessori schools (for children aged 2 to 12) across London. The Montessori approach promotes hands on, self-paced, collaborative, joyful learning.

As our School Marketing and Communications Officer, reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing a marketing strategy and content plan to raise awareness of the school, promote school events and attract and retain parents.

Your role will include further developing our social media channels and engagement; updating our website; designing print materials (posters, leaflets); sourcing PR opportunities to promote the school, drafting press releases and other content as necessary; and managing our content / image library.

We’re looking for a proven marketeer, ideally with experience of marketing a school, with excellent oral and written communication skills. You’re likely to be familiar with WordPress, Indesign, Canva and Mailchimp, with a track record that demonstrates results in raising brand awareness through your activity across the marketing mix. Photography, filming and video editing skills would be helpful, though aren’t essential.

Based within a small and supportive team, this is an ideal role for a self-starter who relishes the idea of rolling up their sleeves and making an impact. We’re also expanding our provision, so it’s a particularly exciting time to join us.
