Engagement Manager

Fixed Term of up to one year to cover a period of Maternity Leave| Full-time | All year-round (52 weeks per annum)

Starting salary of £35,677.50 (including September 2023 salary increase)

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual to join our Development Office, responsible for nurturing strong links with our Felsted Community which includes alumni (Old Felstedians), current and former parents, current and former staff, and other well-wishers. The office delivers an integrated and varied programme of communications, events, fundraising activities and stewardship to keep our community engaged with the life of the school, as well as promoting a culture of ‘giving back’ in terms of time, talent, and philanthropy.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication, writing and project management skills as well as the ability to strategize, implement and build constituency programmes and activities, whilst working to tight deadlines. The Engagement Manager is responsible for the strategy and implementation of our engagement programme, appealing and adding value for our target groups and supporting the school’s strategic aims around building and promoting a culture of philanthropy. It is essential to act confidently, remain calm and professional during busy periods, working collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and key stakeholders in a warm, friendly and professional manner.

This role is a permanent position working full-time (Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm), all-year round. The starting salary for this role is £35,677.50 per annum (including September 2023 salary increase).
