Salary: In the region of £65,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

Summer Fields is a leading independent full-boarding and day school for 340 boys aged 4-13.  Founded in 1864 the school has a long and distinguished history. Set within 70 acres of grounds, Summer Fields is well resourced with many outstanding and modern facilities. A vibrant community of staff and boys, Summer Fields provides a caring and friendly boarding setting, in which boys flourish and, with excellent exam results, boys regularly win scholarships to the top Public Schools in the country.

Summer Fields is seeking to appoint a proactive, imaginative and adaptable Director of Marketing and Admissions. The postholder will play a leading role in generating the school’s future marketing, communications, PR and pupil recruitment strategy. Reporting to the Headmaster, the Director will be a member of the senior management team.

The ideal candidate will be a highly strategic, diplomatic individual with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. He/she will be an ambitious and curious marketing or communications professional with experience of shaping and developing highly effective strategies.

A confident team player and an inspiring leader, the Director will manage the marketing and admissions staff and build and develop the talents of the team. He/she will have professional experience of brand development and a proven track record of creating impactful integrated multi-channel initiatives.

Prior experience of working in the education sector is not essential but the successful candidate will demonstrate empathy with the school’s ethos and a willingness to take an active part in the life of this thriving school.
