Director of Communications, Admissions and Marketing



Salary: Competitive

Required from Easter 2023

We are seeking to appoint a Director of Communications, Admissions and Marketing who will work closely with the Head to play a key role furthering the school’s strategic objectives, in maintaining the successful and smooth operation of the school, and effectively communicating the school’s values, objectives and activities to internal and external audiences. An experienced senior leader with an understanding of complex and fast-paced organisations, the postholder will be excited at the opportunity of joining the school as it enters the next phase of its development.

The postholder will work effectively across all sections of the school, as well as across the school’s broader operations (including international and online), to engage the King’s community and the school’s wider communities with the activities of King’s and to share the school’s work in a powerful, coherent and motivating way. They will work closely with a wide range of departments and senior staff, including the Director of Development, and will be a member of the school’s senior team.

 The ideal candidate will be able to take a strategic view and have had experience at a senior level working collaboratively with senior leaders. They will be highly articulate, persuasive, and able to inspire and engage different audiences.

The postholder will have extensive experience in a relevant educational or charitable setting, and/or have worked in a commercial environment. They will have established and successfully implemented a communications strategy and will have taken personal responsibility for cultivating relationships at a senior level. They will know how to get the best from others and have the skills to direct and empower their team to succeed and to help the school achieve its ambitions.
