Admissions Assistants

Abingdon School is seeking to appoint two Admissions Assistants to join our busy and professional Admissions and Marketing team. The department manages multiple concurrent admissions processes, which generate a high volume of enquiries by email and telephone.

Admissions Assistant (Exams Coordinator)
The post-holder will manage the communications with parents, candidates and agents to organise ad hoc candidate testing, both overseas and in the UK, as well as providing general exam administrative support to the wider Admissions team. They will also liaise with a variety of stakeholders to support the collection of visa information. The successful candidate will therefore be confident in dealing with multiple and highly variable enquiries, as well as adept with using the technology underpinning the Admissions processes.

Admissions Assistant
The post-holder will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and will contribute to the provision of a high quality and effective service. A key element of the role will be managing all visits to the Admissions Department. There will be frequent contact with parents of prospective pupils, both in the UK and overseas, and an extensive range of feeder schools and other educational organisations as well as with colleagues internally.

For both roles, previous experience in a similar role within the education sector would be beneficial and a working knowledge of our school management information system iSAMS is strongly desirable. These opportunities are full-time roles working all year round.

Closing date: Monday 7 February 2022 (midday)
Interview date: w/c 14 February 2022
