Alumni Relations and Development Manager

Part time (3 days) / Year Round

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Admissions, the Alumni Relations and Development Manager will be responsible for expanding and developing the School’s alumni relations and fundraising programmes in order to strengthen relationships between the School and its alumni, and generate additional income streams.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator who is organised, reliable, creative and has experience in both Marketing and Fundraising / Development. This end-to-end role requires both strategic thinking to develop the Alumni Relations and Development plan and the practical skills to implement it.  Previous experience in a similar role within the education sector would be beneficial.

The role is 3 days a week (24 hours in total).  Flexible working days and hours can be agreed to suit the successful candidate.

Alumni Relations Officer

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Alumni Relations Officer to join Wycombe Abbey’s Development and External Relations department.

Wycombe Abbey has been at the forefront of girls’ boarding education for the last 125 years. Superb academic outcomes are the School’s hallmark and pupils regularly secure places at the most prestigious universities across the globe. Known for its world-class education, Wycombe Abbey encourages curiosity, innovation, leadership and delight in learning among its pupils.

The Development and External Relations team is responsible for engaging a wide range of stakeholders in the current and future activities of the School. The Alumni Relations function supports former pupils and former staff of Wycombe Abbey (Seniors and Honorary Seniors) and coordinates all aspects of their engagement with the School.

The successful candidate will be joining the team at an exciting time, as we look to build on previous alumni activity to deepen engagement in support of a new School-wide strategy. This role will have an emphasis on alumni communications, events and fundraising among our global community of 4000+ Seniors. As such, it presents an exciting opportunity to add real value to the Development and External Relations department. The successful candidate will have a strong set of relevant experience, be a positive and proactive team-player, exercise sound judgement and have excellent organisational and communications skills. A Bachelor’s Degree with experience working in a similar role is preferable.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You will be required to work out of hours occasionally to ensure the successful delivery of alumni and supporter events.
