ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Head of Admissions, the Admissions Officer will liaise with prospective parents from both the UK and overseas, ensuring a smooth transition to Reddam House School. Therefore, this position calls for a high level of relevant experience in customer care, and an understanding of the independent education sector. Excellent communication and people skills are essential, as well as the capability to interact with students. The ability to maintain accurate records and be highly organised is essential. High levels of computer literacy and excellent administration skills are also required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide high level customer service via email, telephone, and face to face communications with prospective parents, agents, students, feeder schools and Reddam House School’s wider network.
Ensure prospective students and parents are guided and encouraged through the admissions process in a professional, helpful and efficient way so increasing conversion rates and ensuring an increasing number of strong candidates for Reddam House School.
Assist the Head of Admissions in planning, organising and delivering successful admissions events including open mornings, entrance assessments, taster days and alumni gatherings.
Manage the Admissions Department diary and organise visits of prospective parents, students and agents.
Liaise with members of academic staff to organise meetings with prospective parents as required.
Ensure prospective parents, students and feeder schools are informed of entry and interview dates in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain spreadsheets regarding place and scholarship offers at all points of entry, draft offer letters for the Head of School as directed by the Head of Admissions.
Oversee application deposits and dealing with admissions invoice queries.
Maintain accurate agent commission records for students enrolled.
Collate New Students Welcome Pack materials and mailing and liaise with the Group Marketing Department to ensure relevant material is on the website in a timely manner.
Ensure every student joining Reddam House School at any time has the appropriate welcome and joining information and liaises with academic and house staff as relevant.
Enter and maintain application data at all stages of the admissions process from Open Apply into iSAMS, including initial application, offer information, financial and contract details for JD Edwards and acceptance status.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus one years’ related experience in an educational setting. (Candidates without a bachelor’s degree but with equivalent professional experience are encouraged to apply).
IT skills with knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point and database skills are essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and cross-continent teams.
Good literacy skills to prepare correspondence and maintain records to a high standard.

Ability to work quickly and accurately with excellent attention to details in order to meet deadlines.
Absolute discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Admissions Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-driven individual to provide essential support to our Admissions team in recruiting students and meeting our compliance duties.
Close attention to detail and excellent computer literacy skills, including familiarity with CRM / Database Management, are essential. This role is full-time, working an average of 37.5 hours per week all year round (plus approx. 12 Saturday mornings per year, on a rota basis).

Admissions Assistant

Pinewood School seeks to appoint a part-time Admissions Assistant to provide administrative support to our Registrar. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly organised and proactive to support the pupil admissions to our busy and successful Prep School.

This is a part-time position which is required for 20 hours per week (4 hours per day to be worked as 5 mornings) during term-time plus one week during the school summer holidays. The hours of the role will be agreed with the successful candidate in advance.

Pinewood School is set in 84 acres of rolling countryside on the border between Wiltshire and Oxfordshire and offers a quality, family-based, co-educational day and boarding environment for over 400 children aged 3-13.

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, full time Admissions Assistant to work within our busy Admissions Department.

The Admissions department is responsible for all aspects of the admission of pupils to the School. The first point of call for prospective families is Admissions and the department has a wealth of knowledge to assist parents from their initial enquiry through to when their child joins the school.

The Admissions Assistant will support the department with a wide range of administrative duties relating to all aspects of work in the admissions office in addition to ensuring that the School’s student visa processes are diligently adhered to when recruiting pupils from overseas countries. The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail and precision.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a customer-facing role, together with excellent administrative and communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience of working with a CRM database is essential and a working knowledge of Google Suite would be an advantage.

The nature of a 24hr a day, 7 days per week boarding school require staff to work flexibly and as we are open for prospective family visits and public events; this means that there may be a requirement for the job holder to work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends. It is expected that all duties will be completed effectively, efficiently, accurately and within allocated deadlines.
