We are looking to appoint an Admissions Officer to join our thriving Marketing and Admissions team.  This is a full-time, year-round position.

The Admissions Officer will be part of the Admissions Team which has responsibility for ensuring the school achieves the annual pupil recruitment targets for Harrogate Ladies’ College, Highfield Prep School and Highfield Pre-School.

Working as part of a busy and professional team, the ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and target driven, with outstanding communication and organisational skills.  You may have experience of working in a sales or events-based role in hospitality or similar sector. If you have previous experience in a similar within the education sector this is desirable but not essential.

The hours of the role are to be 8.30am until 5.30pm or 8.00am until 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays.

The closing date for applications is midday on Friday 12th April 2024. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 23rd April 2024.

Admissions Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Queen Mary’s for an Admissions Manager to join our thriving independent girls’ school situated between Ripon and Thirsk. The Admissions Manager will be an ambassador for the school and responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the admissions process driving recruitment of new pupils. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing candidate who is experienced in building excellent relationships with a wide range of people. THE ROLE

The Admissions Manager will play an essential role in the day-to-day management and implementation of the School’s admissions process and marketing strategies. The candidate will be an ambassador for the School and the main point of contact for prospective parents throughout the admissions process organising key events and processes throughout the admissions cycle to drive recruitment and retention of pupils.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the daily email and telephone enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.

• Handle individual communications with prospective families from initial enquiry to admission ensuring effective, timely and professional customer service.

• Ensure that pupil data on the Admissions software, reports, and the School database system is accurately maintained to help track and project pupil numbers across the School.

• Articulate the School’s ethos and the benefits of its offering in a professional manner.

• Liaise with the wider staff and girls to organise visits, taster days and admission to the School.

• Be the School’s ambassador and conduct tours (when necessary) for prospective families.

• Be part of the team to co-ordinate administration of the assessment and scholarship process accurately.

• Ensure all Admissions documentation is kept securely in School.

• To ensure that the School has obtained, processed and filed all information required to complete the entry process complying with all relevant policies and documentation and in compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and international Child Student Sponsorship duties.

• Maintain the day-to-day relationship with overseas agents.

• Produce reports to share with the Director of External Relations and work to deliver an effective admissions function.

• Organise and assist at Open Mornings and other key events including but not limited to Assessment Day and Scholarship Week and New Pupils’ Day liaising with all relevant staff with oversight from the Director of External Relations.

• To be responsible for the maintenance of the databases for feeder schools, nurseries and agents.

• Support the Director of External Relations in managing the Admissions Register and share relevant data with local councils.

• Provide support to the Director of External Relations with marketing activities to drive recruitment and retention of pupils working effectively within the team.

• Undertake any other duties required by the Director of External Relations and the Head.

Director of Marketing & Admissions

The Director of Marketing & Admissions is a newly created role and presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the future vision for Giggleswick School. With a new Headmaster appointed in January 2022, the School has ambitious plans to grow as it seeks to build on already strong foundations.

Following an ISI Inspection in summer 2023, the School has secured Department of Education approval to expand to the pupil role from 471 to 545 across the Pre, Prep and Senior School. The Headmaster is now seeking to appoint an exceptional Director of Marketing & Admissions to take the lead in creating, developing and implementing the School’s marketing, admissions and communications strategies, building the already well-recognised brand and promoting Giggleswick at every opportunity.

At the forefront of all marketing activity, the Director of Marketing & Admissions will provide strategic leadership, initiative, management and delivery of all aspects of marketing and communications for the School. Leading on all pupil recruitment activities, this role is crucial in delivering Giggleswick’s strategic ambitions to increase its regional, national and international reach.

The Director of Marketing & Admissions will report directly to the Headmaster and will sit on the Senior Leadership Team. The postholder will line manage the Head of UK Admissions, the International Admissions and the Marketing Manager. The Admissions team comprises the UK Admissions Manager, the International Admissions Manager and an International Admissions Administrator. The Marketing team consists of the Marketing Manager and two Marketing Officers. The Director of Marketing & Admissions will regularly be invited to attend Governor meetings and will present a termly report to Governors. The Director of Marketing & Admissions will be a key public face of the School, promoting the benefits of belonging to this vibrant modern community across the globe.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy marketing function in a leading independent school in the heart of Harrogate.

You will work with the Director of Marketing & Admissions to develop the Marketing Strategy and annual Marketing plan for the school which you will be responsible for implementing. This will be including day to day marketing  and events activities for the school in order to generate enquiries for prospective pupils.

You will be the brand ambassador for the school, building and sustaining a consistent identity for all 3 settings, responsible for ensuring that the school’s brand values are communicated across all marketing activity.

You will manage relationships with key suppliers, including designers, prints & web developers.

This role is responsible for 2 direct reports so you will have experience of line management.

The position is suited to a person who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. If you are an experienced Marketing Manager, exceptional at multi-tasking, highly organised and are interested in working in lively surroundings with children aged 2-18 then this could be the new role for you. This is a customer-facing role with prospective pupils and parents and so you should be well presented, positive and responsive. In addition, you should have an excellent attention to detail with strong IT skills.

The hours of the role are from either: 8.00am until 5.00pm or 8.30am until 5.30pm, Mondays to Fridays, with some evening or weekend working when Marketing events take place.

Salary:                                     £35,000-£38,000

Partnerships Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the AMCIS Team in the new role of Partnerships Manager.

We are seeking a proactive self-starter with a creative approach who comes with extensive experience of working with corporate partners, and generating income through sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities and other initiatives.

Able to work as part of a remote team, as well as autonomously, the successful candidate will have responsibility for liaising with existing AMCIS Corporate Members on sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities at the Annual residential conference and other AMCIS events throughout the year, as well as developing and executing a strategy for corporate member communication and engagement and additional income generation.

This is an exciting time to join the AMCIS Team. AMCIS membership is at its highest since the association was established in 1993, with more than 550 member schools both in the UK and overseas, from which over 2500 personnel are currently on our database.  In addition, AMCIS currently has 43 corporate members.
