Head of Marketing

Reporting directly to the Head, and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Marketing will provide inspiring and strategic leadership of the school’s marketing and communications activities across the whole school (Nursery to Year 8).

This role has a significant strategic element as Brighton College Prep Kensington seeks to differentiate itself within a competitive landscape that includes the foremost schools in London. The Head of Marketing is a key public face and will have primary responsibility, alongside the Head of Admissions, for marketing the Brighton College brand to a wide range of audiences, to build its profile and to drive pupils’ recruitment by ensuring that the School is well known within its local, regional and international marketplace.

Brighton College Prep Kensington has a unique story to tell as
a new school in Central London and the post-holder will be at the forefront of explaining this to prospective parents and applicants. It is of most importance to us that we recruit families who will thrive at Brighton College Prep Kensington with a view to possibly entering The College at 13+, but also who give something of themselves back to enrich the community here.

The postholder will maintain and develop our relationship with the other Brighton College Schools, and the Cognita family, collaborating with their marketing, alumni and development teams. In addition, binding together a growing Brighton
College Prep Kensington alumni and former parents is an important task.

We are seeking a full-time Head of Admissions to start as soon as possible. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for a highly organised and self-motivated person to become part of a committed and passionate team. The Head of Admissions will be the principle point of contact for all prospective parents and pupils. The role therefore requires someone who has excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition. Good personal presentation, strong administrative and analytical skills and a willingness to participate in school life are also considered important qualities for this position. Previous experience in a similar role is essential and the candidate must have excellent written English and strong computer skills with a knowledge of different database platforms.

Admissions Manager

Here at Brighton College Prep Kensington, we have an exciting position for an Admissions Manager, reporting to the Head of Admissions. The Admissions Manager will be part of the team that is responsible for growing the number of students in our school.

This is a great position which is driven by the ideal candidate to deliver a distinctive, market leading and ‘surprising and delightful’ customer experience.

This role is based at a school in Kensington (London). This role will work with the Head of Admissions to embed a sales culture and mindset throughout the school. This role will be an ambassador for the school, understanding what each parent needs, and delivering exemplary customer service.

The Admissions Manager will be expected to support the Head of Admissions through the management of enquiries and applications both in person and by email, and by ensuring the data systems are well-managed and accurate.

The role will require a focus on both enrolment and retention of existing students.

Falcons School

Falcons School, which includes Peregrines Nursery, is a one form entry co-educational setting for girls and boys aged 2-11. The pupils receive high levels of academic education and pastoral care.  Aged 11, Falcons pupils sit competitive exams for London and Surrey Day Schools, with a small number of pupils choosing boarding schools. Falcons School can be found in Putney and is in a conservation area.

Admissions, Marketing and Communications Officer

The School is seeking an Admissions Officer with a desire to deliver a smooth, stress free admission journey for prospective pupils and parents. You will have a proven track record in admissions within a school or similar environment and be able to manage the school’s admission function to promote, develop relationships and consolidate interest, with prospective parents.

In this exciting new role, you will support the Head of Admissions, Marketing and Communications to drive awareness of the school and meet targets for pupil intake. You will bring a professional, warm and proactive approach to managing the day-to-day running of the admissions process from initial enquiry through to pupils joining the school, focusing on delivering an exceptional level of service at each stage. As the first point of contact, you will nurture excellent relationships with prospective families and work closely with internal stakeholders.

You will also be supporting the Head of Admissions, Marketing and Communications to implement the marketing plan through traditional and digital marketing channels. You will be highly organised with excellent communication and relationship management skills. A keen attention to detail with strong administrative and data management skills will help you excel in this role. They will have good IT skills and experience in Admissions is essential and knowledge and experience of the independent sector is desirable. Candidates should pay attention to the job description/person specification and explain within their letter of application how they meet the criteria, whilst also describing what they will bring to the post from their own knowledge and experience.

The timings for this role will be working Monday to Friday between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. in term time. In addition, you will be required to work for three weeks at particularly busy times for Admissions each year (two weeks at the beginning and a week at the end of the summer holidays) and some occasional working over the holidays to check and respond to emails. The pay has been calculated to include payment for up to two weeks to cover checking of emails over the holidays.

The Registrar at Francis Holland Prep will play an important role in the successful recruitment and marketing of the School in the transition to the new site and as it grows. This exciting, new position forms part of our wider Admissions team at Francis Holland School, Sloane Square and will be line managed by the Registrar at the Senior School and report into the Director of External Relations of Francis Holland Schools Trust.  Admissions, marketing and alumni relations form part of the External Relations Team for Francis Holland Schools Trust, which support our Junior and Senior Schools.

The role is varied in nature and provides the opportunity to be involved in both admissions and marketing, ensuring that we offer a high level of customer service, efficient support and guidance to our prospective parents and pupils.  It includes the following responsibilities, but other tasks and requirements may arise according to need and changing market circumstances.  The overarching aim is for the Registrar to promote the ethos and reputation of the school to the communities beyond.
