Founded in 1646, Reading Blue Coat is a leading independent day school of circa 800 pupils from
ages 11 to 18. The School is located on a beautiful 46-acre campus in the village of Sonning, just
outside Reading.

The School employs more than 180 staff, of whom 50% are academic staff, and provides a

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and self-motivated Admissions Manager to join
our External Relations team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management of the complete admissions
process to successfully recruit new pupils from initial enquiry through to arrival at the School.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage, inspire
and connect with prospective families, confidence in presenting to small groups, strong IT,
grammar and writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week from 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.

Group Director of Marketing and Communications

The Bradfield Group, incorporating Bradfield College, St Andrew’s School and Bradfield College Enterprises, is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing and Communications to lead strategic and operational marketing, communications and public relations and to take a key leadership role in helping to position the Group for future success and development.

Bradfield College has inspired generations of young people to make a difference to the world since 1850. Set in a stunning rural Berkshire location, Bradfield provides an outstanding day and boarding education to approximately 850 pupils, comprising 350 girls and 500 boys from 13 to 18 years of age. The College enjoys a well-established reputation for being one of the UK’s leading co-educational independent schools where pupils develop as well-rounded, independent young adults within an atmosphere of empathy and tolerance. St Andrew’s, a highly successful prep school with 325 pupils aged 3-13, located just two miles from the College, joined the Bradfield Group in December 2021. As well as these two schools, the Group comprises the enterprise division of the College, (including Bradfield Commercial Limited).

Reporting to the Headmaster of Bradfield College, the Group Director of Marketing and Communications will be a key member of the College’s Senior Leadership Group and assist in delivering the Bradfield Group’s strategic aims. The post holder will have overall responsibility for developing and delivering outstanding marketing, communication and public relation strategies as well as promoting and protecting the reputation of The Bradfield Group and enhancing communication with all internal and external stakeholders. The Group Director of Marketing and Communications will act as an in-house consultant to key ‘clients’ amongst the Bradfield Group’s senior management and, in particular, work in close collaboration with the Senior Deputy Head (Admissions) of Bradfield College, the Head Master and Director of Admissions of St Andrew’s School, the Director of the Bradfield Society and the Directors of the various businesses in Bradfield College Enterprises.

The successful candidate will have significant senior level experience of Public Relations, Communications and/or Marketing at a high-profile brand or organisation and display an understanding of, and belief in, the aims and ethos of independent education in general.

Admissions Assistant (Part Time)

PART-TIME ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT

270 pupils aged from 11-18 years about 45% of whom are boarders (full, weekly and flexi)
and with a Sixth Form of approximately 80 pupils.

We are a welcoming school with a warm sense of community. Visitors are impressed by our

of all they are delighted by the girls who are truly special.

We are seeking an Admissions Assistant who will be part of a team of three staff, including
the Director of Admissions, who has responsibility for managing the team.

This will be a varied and challenging post for a candidate with previous administration
experience who wishes to be involved in a professional and busy school community.

The role requires excellent organisational and time management skills, the ability to work as
part of a team, work under pressure and the ability to multitask.

The candidate must be proactive, flexible and positive. The applicant requires professionalism and discretion and a strong attention to detail. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys interacting with people and providing a high level of customer service to prospective parents.

The job incumbent will often be dealing with parents who are anxious or demanding and a
high level of understanding, sensitivity and patience is essential along with a degree of humour.

The role involves 25 – 32 hours per week, usually during the school working day 0830 – 1700
and exact hours and days worked are negotiable. This is a role that requires working
throughout the year i.e. this is not a term time only position. There will be a requirement to
work some evenings or weekends to support School and Admission related events for which
time off will be given in lieu.

The salary for this role will be between £16,000 – 20,500 per annum depending on the hours
agreed. The successful candidate will be auto-enrolled into the The Pensions Trust pension
scheme if eligible.

Director of Admissions

We have an opening for an enthusiastic and dynamic full-time Director of Admissions to start as soon as possible.

This is a high profile position at the School and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a strong performing Admissions department consisting of two other members of staff. Admissions Manager

Full Time

Salary: £38,000-£42,000.

This is an exciting time in the school’s development. The Admissions Manager will work with the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Development to maintain and strengthen the pupil recruitment at Queen Anne’s School. They will bring energy and initiative and play a key role in shaping the admissions operation.

As a prominent public representative of the school, the Admissions Manager will excel in customer service and be a standard bearer for the ethos of the school. A sound knowledge of boarding, overseas recruitment, domestic markets, SEN, EAL and the curriculum would be an advantage.
