Director of Admissions

We have an opening for an enthusiastic and dynamic full-time Director of Admissions to start as soon as possible.

This is a high profile position at the School and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a strong performing Admissions department consisting of two other members of staff. This is a role with considerable variety and is enhanced with some overseas travel and a range of benefits as outlined in the Job Application Pack.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be flexible in approach, remain calm under pressure and possess the ability to effectively juggle a range of tasks and competing priorities, using initiative appropriately.

This is a full-time position throughout the year and the normal hours of work are 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break).

St George’s operates its own generous salary scheme and the salary for this role will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be auto-enrolled into the School’s Pension Scheme; there is an opportunity to opt out.

The Registrar will play a key part in the planning, preparation and execution of key admissions-related public events, such as Open days, exhibition events and Taster Days. The postholder will provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team on pupil applications across the whole school year groups. The Registrar will work closely with Marketing and the Admissions Assistant as a team to develop and foster effective working relationships with academic and support colleagues across the whole school.

St George’s, Ascot (SGA) is an independent boarding and day school with approximately 270 pupils aged from 11-18 years about 45% of whom are boarders (full, weekly and flexi) and with a Sixth Form of approximately 80 pupils.

Admissions Assistant

PART-TIME ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT
Required to start as soon as possible

We are seeking an Admissions Assistant who will be part of a team of three staff, including
the Director of Admissions, who has responsibility for managing the team.
This will be a varied and challenging post for a candidate with previous administration
experience who wishes to be involved in a professional and busy school community.
The role requires excellent organisational and time management skills, the ability to work as
part of a team, work under pressure and the ability to multitask.

The candidate must be proactive, flexible and positive. The applicant requires
professionalism and discretion and a strong attention to detail. This is an ideal role for
someone who enjoys interacting with people and providing a high level of customer service
to prospective parents.

The job incumbent will often be dealing with parents who are anxious or demanding and a
high level of understanding, sensitivity and patience is essential along with a degree of
humour.

The role involves 20 – 25 hours per week, usually during the school working day 0830 – 1700
and exact hours and days worked are negotiable; working over 4 days is however indicative
of the requirement. This is a role that requires working throughout the year i.e. this is not a
term time only position. There will be a requirement to work some evenings or weekends to
support School and admission related events for which time off will be given in lieu.

Admissions Manager

Full Time

Salary: £38,000-£42,000.

This is an exciting time in the school’s development. The Admissions Manager will work with the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Development to maintain and strengthen the pupil recruitment at Queen Anne’s School. They will bring energy and initiative and play a key role in shaping the admissions operation.

As a prominent public representative of the school, the Admissions Manager will excel in customer service and be a standard bearer for the ethos of the school. A sound knowledge of boarding, overseas recruitment, domestic markets, SEN, EAL and the curriculum would be an advantage.

A full induction and training programme will be implemented for the successful candidate and regular ongoing reviews will be offered to support the role. We will also offer a mentoring programme as additional support.

Head’s PA

This role is essential to the leadership of the School by helping the Head with the day to day running of the School by managing her office, organising her diary and coordinating the paperwork required to carry out the wide spectrum of responsibilities of the Head. The role will also include some support for the SMT with Academic Administration as required.

Reporting to the Headteacher, the postholder will establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues, parents, pupils and external partners. Registrar

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Registrar to manage the pupil admissions process. You will manage and be involved in all aspects of the admissions process, liaising with prospective parents and assisting with the organisation of events for prospective pupils, as well as maintaining the database and the day to day procedures.
