Head of Marketing and Communications

We are looking to appoint a Head of Marketing who will lead our Marketing team through the next phase of the School’s development.

The Head of Marketing is responsible for overseeing and delivering all aspects of the School’s marketing and communications activity including Open Days and media plans. Reporting to the Director of Admissions & Marketing and working closely with them, the Headmaster, Senior Academic Staff and the marketing team, you will ensure our communications consistently reflect our branding, vision and values, and ensure that it brings to life the story of Kingswood. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing leader to join a growing and dynamic school, helping to deliver our goals.

Applicants must have a clear appreciation of the Kingswood ethos. There is a uniqueness to the School and the post holder must be able to communicate the essence of what it means to be part of this special community to a wide audience.
This post will most likely be suited to an experienced professional from the independent education sector, who combines demonstrable media planning and event management skills with experience leading a team. Alternatively the role might suit an exceptional individual with commercial experience gained outside the sector with an instinctive feel for the School’s customers and their needs, bringing with them the qualities and skills to undertake this complex and exciting job.

Founded by John Wesley in 1748, the School is situated on a magnificent 120-acre site in Lansdown in the world-class city of Bath.

Digital Marketing Officer

Hours: 36 Hours Per Week- Full Time
Salary: Regional Grade 4, No less then £24,000

The role

Royal High School Bath is a leading independent girls’ day and boarding school, and part of the GDST network of schools. We are looking for a unique individual with creativity in spades, and a nose for digital and analytics – your drive and energy will see you play a key role in the implementation of our School’s digital marketing strategy.

This is a key role, and crucial to the successful recruitment of students at Royal High School Bath. The postholder should be a motivated self-starter able to initiate projects and ideas and will report to the Director of Marketing and Admissions.

With proven experience in digital marketing, you will be adept at creating engaging content and developing digital campaigns. You will be a confident writer and communicator, able to quickly turnaround stories and ideas to communicate the School’s vision. You will be responsible for ensuring the consistent presentation of the Royal High School brand across all our digital communication channels including email, website and social media platforms. You will manage updates and developments of the website.

The role will cover all areas of the School from Nursery to Sixth Form. Responsibilities will include planning, creating and managing all content for distribution across our digital and social media channels, planning and executing paid online marketing campaigns and delivering online events to support the development of the School’s profile and to increase recruitment.

This is a full time, permanent position, starting as soon as possible. The core hours of work are 8.30am-4.30pm, although there will be a requirement to attend key School events and Open Days which will require some evening and weekend working hours.
